What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask a browser to retain. Other technologies, such as localStorage, can also preserve information between visits. A normal browser cache stores page resources to make loading more efficient; it is not the same as an advertising identifier.
What this website’s code does
The HTML, CSS and JavaScript supplied for this atlas do not set cookies, write to localStorage or sessionStorage, or include third-party tracking resources. Navigation state, scroll animations and the prepared contact draft are handled in memory while a page is open.
The draft tool does not preserve your input as a site preference. Your own browser may independently offer autofill, form restoration or page caching.
Copying and downloading
Choosing Copy text requests clipboard access for the prepared draft. Choosing Download .txt creates a local text file. These are actions you initiate; they are not cookie-based tracking. Clipboard history, synced clipboards and downloaded files are governed by your browser, operating system and device settings.
Hosting and separately supplied controls
Hosting infrastructure or a separately supplied consent or security layer can have its own storage behaviour. This page describes the atlas files themselves and does not claim that deployment infrastructure can never set a cookie. Any additional storage should be explained in the controls and notices supplied with that service.
External research links
Reference websites may use cookies or other tracking technologies after you visit them. Their policies apply there. The atlas does not embed their pages, scripts or media.
Your browser controls
You can inspect and delete cookies and site storage in your browser’s settings. Restricting cookies should not prevent the supplied atlas reading pages or local draft tool from working. Disabling JavaScript removes the interactive draft controls; the historical articles and source links remain readable.
